One universal, premium kids brand for every "___ OUT" lane. Everything new except the illustration style, which is the franchise fingerprint. Greeking Out gets re-dressed in the new system too.
Audience. Kids 6–12 (skew 8–12), parents and educators who must trust it on sight, licensees in APAC and EMEA who must execute without asking.
Tone. Real deal under every hook. Funny, not silly. Safe-scary, never traumatising. Kid-respecting. One voice: smart, warm, a bit cheeky.
Deliverables. Master lockup rule, Freaking and Spacing logo and key art, type system, icon rule, hero animation, pattern library, a narrator device per lane.
Hero constant. OUT is drawn once and never retyped. The lane word varies; the Nat Geo yellow is a trust frame, never a fill.
Vary 2–3 things per lane. Colour, lane-word treatment, hero motif. Fewer and lanes blur at thumbnail size; more and the family breaks.
Design for 48 px first. Podcast tiles, avatars and app icons are where kids meet the brand. OUT needs a monogram tier.
Four architectures. A Portal (bespoke lane lettering) · B Grammar (one typeface, colour-coded) · C Seal (lanes keep logos, OUT badge) · D Stage (fixed OUT, shared lane family, one material per lane). Research pick: D.
Type. Global script coverage rules out today's rounded body sans. Recommended: Roboto Flex for lane words (width axis), Inter for text.
Brief tension. The client brief asks for "refinement, not rebuild" of Greeking Out. Present OUT as the skeleton already inside it.
